In the first phase, the corporation has identified 47 properties, where owners have built an extra third floor, which is not permitted in the area.
The situation in the locality is tense as five buildings have already been demolished over the last three days.
On Thursday, residents and local politicians blocked traffic on the busy Nazafgarh road to protest the demolitions. The drive was resumed only in the afternoon, after extra deployment of police. Demolitions were stalled for a few hours on Wednesday also on account of similar protests.
"All properties against which action was taken, were occupied and vacation notices served to the owners. The demolition action will continue till December 3,” a senior officer said.
