District Inspector of Schools implicated in bogus payment of salary scam

An FIR has been registered against five persons, including a District Inspector of Schools (DIOS), for their alleged involvement in bogus payment of salaries.

An FIR has been registered against five persons, including a District Inspector of Schools (DIOS), for their alleged involvement in bogus payment of salaries. The accused used to credit the bogus salary amount, issued in name of fake teachers, in their account.

Those named in the FIR included DIOS Hriday Ram, now posted in Azamgarh, Finance and Accounts Officer, Baliram Prasad, Surendra Chaubey besides two others, Superintendent of Police, V K Shekhar said on Friday. He said that the matter pertains to release of bogus payment of salaries during 2008-09.
