Apropos of Laksmisree Banerjee’s article Merit will craft the future (July 13), all proponents of reservations who want to divide society for their own vested interests will meet the same fate as VP Singh whose stock plummeted after the Mandal crisis. This reflects the mood of the public against selfish politicians who are doing a disservice to the nation.
