Are the temples at Kanyakumari open after 12 pm? I am particularly interested in visiting the Suchindram Temple. What are the timings and how much time should I keep in hand in order to visit this temple?
The temples are open from 7 am to 1 pm and then from 4 pm to 8 pm. But the timing varies according to the season. The timings of the Suchindram Temple are almost the same. It will not take more than one or two hours to complete darshan at each temple. I would suggest having an early/opening hour darshan either in the morning or evening. Suchindram Temple is an hour’s drive from Kanyakumari, so do factor that in while planning your day’s itinerary.

You have many options to stay at Korzok. There are lots of homestays in addition to the old luxury tent complex on the bank of the narrow stream.Earlier, Korzok was a silent village devoid of people, but now it’s well on the way to becoming a bustling tourist spot. Accommodation costs between Rs 600 (for homestays) and Rs 2,500 (for tents).

One can stay at Chumathang, two hours before Tso Moriri. The lodge close to the hot spring beside the River Indus, is excellent. It costs Rs 700 per night for three beds and an attached bathroom. However, rates can go up to Rs 1,000 per night in the peak months of June and July.
