Acting on a complaint made by one Rachna Kumari Jha that Amit Kumar Mishra, an IFS probationer, took Rs five lakh as dowry, the Commission has asked both of them to come for a hearing, an NCW spokesperson told on Monday.
"Both the complainant and the accused have been summoned to appear for a hearing before the NCW Chairperson Girija Vyas," the spokesperson said.
The NCW had earlier sought a report from Delhi Police on the alleged incident.
Jha had also complained that Mishra broke the engagement with her when he was offered a bigger dowry by someone else.
