Identified as Avinesh, s/o Pawan Kumar of Sector 15A, Faridabad, the student was found lying on the ground by the security guard on duty, police said.

The guard, in turn, informed the school authorities about the incident, who rushed him to Escorts Hospital in Faridabad.

Police said the boy jumped off the second floor when his class was going on on the

third floor. However, there are other reports that the boy jumped from the third floor whereas his class was in progress on fourth floor.

The entire episode is still a mystery. The family members of the boy refused to comment on the incident.

“We got information about the incident around 2.30 pm and rushed to the the hospital where he is undergoing treatment,” Ram Chander, SHO, Old Faridabad police station, said.

“The boy’s statement has not been recorded as yet since doctors say he is not fit enough to record the statement,” he added.

“We can make further comments only after we have recorded his statement,” the SHO said.

“His fellow students need to be questioned, which will be done tomorrow,” said Chander.

“I’ve asked the police to investigate the matter. The student is recovering well and we should pray for his speedy recovery,” Dr Stalin Malhotra, Director of DPS, Mathura Road, Faridabad told Hindustan Times.
