The EC’s role came into play because of the Udaipura assembly segment by-election due next month. The segment comes under Raisen district where Bhojpur is situated.
However, while allowing the to organise the festival, the commission directed the State Government neither to invite ministers or politicians in the festival nor to highlight achievements of the State Government. Raisen district Collector Arun Bhatt said that the EC has given permission for the festival.
