Eight persons have been admitted to a government hospital at Navapur for suspected bird flu and about 80 blood samples have been sent for testing.

These are the first cases of symptoms of the disease in humans.

Over 50,000 thousand birds have so far died in Maharashtra due to the disease.

The results are expected to be out in three days.
