An elderly couple was found murdered at their house in Hapur town, Ghaziabad, on Monday, police said.

Ram Prasad Bana, 75, and his wife Murti Bana, 70, were found strangulated to death under mysterious circumstances, police said. Ram Prasad Bana was a retired railway employee.

“It was their domestic help who got suspicious after finding the main door of the house locked when she came in the morning. Later, neighbours went inside the house and found the bodies,” superintendent of police Capt MM Baig said.
