Elderly couple murdered in Bangalore

An elderly couple were found murdered at their residence in the city's Jaynagar area.Venkatrangan a retired Deputy Accountant General and his wife, Vasantha were found with their throats slit.

An elderly couple were found murdered at their residence in the city's Jaynagar area on Saturday. According to police, Venkatrangan (80), a retired Deputy Accountant General and his wife, 75 year old Vasantha were found with their throats slit.

While Venkatrangan was found lying dead in the bedroom, Vasantha's body was in the kitchen.

The couple, who have four children, were living alone. The murder came to light this morning when the son in law of the deceased came to enquire after they failed to respond to phonecalls made to their house this morning. The motive behind the murder was yet to be ascertained.
