Emerald Heights, New Digamber in TT final
EMERALD HEIGHTS and New Digamber have entered the final in the Interschool Siddharth Soni memorial table tennis tournament organised by Guru Harkrishan Public School under the aegis of Indore District Table Tennis Association at Nehru Stadium.

The final would be played between Emerald Heights International School ‘A’ and New Digamber Public School ‘B’ team. In the girls first semifinal Emerald Heights defeated School of Excellence, Dewas by 3-0. In the second semifinal, New Digamber Public School beat Bhavan’s Prominent in a thrilling match by 3-2 to enter the final.
Cricket tourney
MAHESHWARI SAMAJ inter-association cricket match would be played from tomorrow at Yeshwant Club ground. The final would be played on January 15 and the match would begin at 1.30 pm. G S Maheshwari would be the chief guest, while Jainarayan Jhawar would preside over the tournament tomorrow.

BRILLIANT BOWLING by Abhas Joshi helped Sarafa Vidya Niketan defeat Columbia Convent and advance to the second round in the interschool cricket tournament for Christian Eminent Trophy played at Tulsi Nagar ground. Batting first Sarafa Vidya Niketan scored 203 runs. Raja Joshi made 42 runs and Ankur Palanpure scored 49 runs. Sandeep Arya and Mayank took two wickets each.
In reply, Columbia Convent batsmen failed to read the accurate bowling of Abhas Joshi and were bundled out for 60 runs. Abhas Joshi in his spell of four overs took six wickets for just 14 runs and helped his team to win the match by 143 runs.
Jhabua Trophy cricket
THE TRADITIONAL annual cricket match for Jhabua Trophy would be played between Governor’s XI and ISPORA XI at The Daly College grounds on January 15. Sanjay Jagdale and Narendra Singh Bidwal would lead ISPORA XI and President Board of Governor’s XI respectively.
