As soon as the police received information, it rushed to the spot and conducted checks, they said

Zonal Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kishore Jadhav, told PTI on Wednesday that the shells were not filled with explosives.

According to police sources, it might have fallen during transportation (of scrap) in the north-eastern part of the old city area.
