Achuthanandan is likely to be thrown out of both the politburo and central committee while arch-rival Vijayan may get an “honourable” exit. He may quit his post ahead of the trial in the Lavalin scam, where he is facing corruption charges.
The politburo reportedly placed these recommendations before the central committee on Saturday evening when it met.
