Engineer suspended for furnishing false certificate

Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibtey Razi approved the recommendation to suspend an assistant engineer for allegedly furnishing a false certificate on his seniority that could have helped him obtain an early promotion by overtaking others.

The governor also sanctioned departmental enquiry against the engineer, Vinod Kumar, posted in the state government’s road construction department, a Raj Bhavan release said in Ranchi.

The approval came after the departments head recommended for his suspension and further enquiry.
