Engineering, pharmacy conference concludes

A TWO-DAY national conference on engineering and pharmacy ? Technosaga-2006 concluded at the SIRT Group of Institutions on Thursday. More than 1000 students and faculty members from various technical institutes in country participated in the mega event.

A TWO-DAY national conference on engineering and pharmacy – Technosaga-2006 concluded at the SIRT Group of Institutions on Thursday. More than 1000 students and faculty members from various technical institutes in country participated in the mega event.

The event was inaugurated by member (rehabilitation), Narmada Valley Development Authority Rakesh Agrawal, who was chief guest on the occasion.

Former executive director of the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, H N Ghanekar was present as special guest. Chairman of SIRT Group of Institutes Sanjeev Agrawal, director R K Mani, principal Shrihari Agrawal, technical advisor and other dignitaries were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Agrawal emphasised on research and said that efforts should be made to transform technological advancements into practical utility.

The Chairman of the group said that the objective of Technosaga is to promote sharing of knowledge and comprehension about recent developments in engineering and pharmacy.

On the first day, the participants presented technical papers. More than 200 papers were selected of which 75 were presented during the event. Besides, events like debugging, games and quiz competition were also held. On day two, a research paper on self-management was read by Dr Piyush Verma from NITTTR.

During the concluding event, Chief Executive Officer of Hutch, Anil Bajpai and director of CRIM, Barkatullah University, Dr P K Mishra were present.
