England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson is used to being in the eye of English press, but he discovered that tabloids in his native Sweden have learnt a trick or two over the years as paparazzis recently used a hidden camera to click his pictures.

During a recent visit to Stockholm, reporters from the tabloid Expressen took pictures of the England manager at a Stockholm restaurant he was visiting along with his Italian partner Nancy Dell'Olio and his son Johan.

The reporters used a camera concealed in a cigarette packet, the weekly magazine Resumé that covers the media and advertising market said Monday.

One of Expressen's news editors, Anna-Clara Welander, confirmed the report.

"We use this kind of discreet photography if it is journalistically motivated," Welander said, adding that in the Eriksson case it may have been doubtful.

Welander said it was 'understandable' that the England manager was upset over the photos, since he did not expect a camera to be hidden in the cigarette packet.

At a recent news briefing, Sven said he no longer knew which was worse "the press in England or Sweden," but added he was not planning legal action against Expressen.
