Entertainment in India, for the last fifty years, has meant popular cinema. Whether the regional language cinema or Hindi movies, they have caught the fancy of the average Indian. In the last twenty odd years, television, particularly cable TV, has been a big hit. All that is set to change. ICE (Information, Communications and Entertainment) is slated to be really big. Enabling this is Information Technology and India's inherent strength in having a large pool of technology friendly work force. TV programming (as production of TV serials, chat shows, game shows, etc) and animation (as part of cinema and video and CD games, cell phone games, ads, TV spots, etc).
