In India, it is commonly known that there is an Ojha in every village, who does, what in common parlance is called Jhad Phook or driving out evil spirits who have taken up residence in human bodies.

In exorcism, a demonic energy is taken out of someone and cast away. Examine some of the teachings of Masters. The chelas were taught how to release entities, or unclean spirits; thereby freeing people obsessed or possessed by lower vibrations.

Disincarnate souls/spirits or fragments of spirits can also be energetically stuck in a time warp and this becomes an attachment point to people living in the present. These energies, which could be several hundreds years, old create a symbiotic arrangement to suck out the life force energy of a weakened human.

I believe the more distorted or perverted types of energetics occur when people have found a negative vibration and have misused that energy in the past for their own benefit. In casting out entities, one must be extremely careful that the entity is not just sent down the street or left in the atmosphere where it can find another host, someone who is weak and open and vulnerable to this state of being. When certain souls are stuck or trapped in past energy, they are called entities, and reflect the last traumatizing energetic consciousness around them at the moment of their death.

All these energies are attracted to people with similar vibrations, addictions or emotions. These are only some explanations for spirit possession and psychic attachment. That is why all our scriptures call for a peaceful transitioning of the soul, by chanting prayers, performing acts of charity through the last few live moments of the lifestream. The practice of meeting with a priest or a pandit, during the interim period nearing the end of a person’s life, is an act of great compassion, not only for the soul involved, but for the peace of humanity at large.
