Treating the incident as a blatant act of indiscipline, AU Proctor Prof Jata Shankar served a show-cause notice to the student, Om Praksh Dwivedi, instructing him to explain his conduct. Dwivedi has been ordered to appear before the proctor on July 11 and submit a written explanation for his actions.
Following the explanation, the Proctorial Board will take the decision whether or not to initiate disciplinary action against him.
“The language of the letter and the fact that the student has demanded an explanation from the V-C cannot be tolerated. Even if a student does have a grievance, he is expected to write to the grievance committee or the proctor and that too taking care of the tone and tenor of the letter,” Prof Jata Shankar said while confirming the serving of the showcause notice.
