Faridabad engineer drowns in Chicago

A 32-year-old software engineer, working for a multinational company drow-ned in a lake in the US, sources in the family said.

A 32-year-old software engineer, working for a multinational company drowned in a lake in the US, sources in the family said.

The man, Vidhya Sagar Verma, was working on a project with some colleagues. He left India on May 20.

Verma, a resident of D Block in NH 3 area here, had gone missing from Chicago on June 19. The family found out later that Verma had drowned in the Michigam lake. His body was found a few days ago.

The aggrieved members of Verma's family met Faridabad Deputy Commissioner Praveen Kumar in this connection. Kumar has assured all possible help.

"Indian consulate officials in Chicago informed us that Vidhya Sagar had drowned in Michigam lake", Puran Kumar, one of Verma's relatives, said. "His body will arrive at IGI Airport on Tuesday morning."
