A man allegedly killed his 18-month-old daughter by throwing her on a platform at a village in Bihar's Nalanda district today, police said.

A man allegedly killed his 18-month-old daughter by throwing her on a platform at a village in Bihar's Nalanda district today, police said.

The incident happened at Dedh Dhara village in the district. Bhojan Gope had stolen some jewellery from his neighbour's house last night and when the villagers approached him today to get back the ornaments, he allegedly threw his daughter and fled, they said.

Search is on to nab Gope, police added.
