Fire at shoe factory
A FIRE broke out at a shoe factory (Plot 140, Sector E) on Sanver Road this afternoon. According to the Fire Brigade, they received the fire call at 4.05 pm and fire tenders were rushed to the scene.

A FIRE broke out at a shoe factory (Plot 140, Sector E) on Sanver Road this afternoon. According to the Fire Brigade, they received the fire call at 4.05 pm and fire tenders were rushed to the scene.
However, strong winds made fire fighting difficult and soon the fire spread from the ground floor to the first floor of the factory.
Additional water tankers and fire tenders were requisitioned and Fire Brigade personnel were still battling with the fire till filing of this report.
