Fire awareness scheme launched

UP FIRE Services launched ?Fire awareness scheme? to make the youth aware of fire safety and to deal with natural disasters. The launching of the scheme was unveiled at the ?Fire & Life safety? seminar organized by Institution of Fire Engineers (India), UP Chapter at Hotel Clarks Avadh on Saturday.

HTCDG, Fire Services Tilak Kak inaugurated the seminar in the morning and spoke about the importance of Fire Services in human and natural disasters. He also unveiled a souvenir.
Senior officers from the government and executives of private organizations besides officials from Fire Services from UP and other states, attended the seminar.
Kak said that it was high time to provide adequate training and equipment to the staff engaged in fire services so that they could combat disasters effectively. He said the department was making serious efforts to upgrade the training course of the staff.
He further said the Training College at Unnao would soon be made a regional college with excellent features. He said the fire department had also started a programme of providing fire safety training to the policemen, homeguards and members of Civil Defence organization. HTC, Lucknow
