A fire broke out in a general coach of the Farraka Express in the wee hours today, officials said.

No loss to life was reported in the incident.
The fire broke out in the coach, second from the engine, of the Delhi-Malda 'Farraka Express' near the Shikohabad railway station due to a short circuit, Station Superintendent of Etawah Railway Station PK Kamal said.
As the passengers saw the flames they raised an alarm following which the driver stopped the train at the Jaswantnagar station where fire tenders doused the flames.
The train later proceeded for its onward journey around 7 AM after a halt of about two hours, Kamal said.
