The sources said the girls told them that they ran away due to 'harrassment' by the orphanage authorities.

The girls, belonging to Ernakulam, were in the centre for the last three to four months for counselling to cure 'mental depression'. Their parents had been informed about the incident, the sources said.

They were taken back to Agali by police, who would be seeking clarification from the orphanage management, the sources said.
