Four children were arrested for allegedly withdrawing money from a bank account on forged documents at Khatoli town of the district.

Four children were arrested for allegedly withdrawing money from a bank account on forged documents at Khatoli town of the district.

Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Tiwari, Akash and Prince, all students of class eight, were arrested when they withdrew Rs one lakh on forged documents on Friday evening.

The children stole a pass book of a woman Pushpa Devi and withdrew Rs one lakh from her account in Punjab National Bank by forging her signature.

Following an FIR by Bank Manager S K Yadav, police arrested the accused.

In another case, five youths, including a B.Sc student Kapil Kumar, were arrested for allegedly smuggling opium during a police checking at Bidoli check post on UP-Haryana border in the district on Friday.
