Virgin Atlantic Airways, Britain’s second largest airline, has unveiled a cache of offers for students travelling to the UK and US from July 6 to October 31, 2006.

Aims to make student travel seamless and hassle-free, the airline has offered a host of value added benefits and discounts, along with an offer of extra baggage allowance of 23 kilos for students travelling to UK and one extra piece allowance for students travelling to US.

The airline is also offering a discount of five per cent to friends and relatives of students on tickets purchased by them during the same period.

"Our continued endeavour has been to provide value for money offers. Not only are the students the beneficiaries of this scheme, but we have also accommodated their friends and relatives who are an integral part of their life. It is a complete student travel package that Virgin Atlantic offers," Joe Thompson, GM, India, Virgin Atlantic Airways, said.

"We are a student friendly airline offering fun features like choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meal, seatback television and an award winning in-flight entertainment in our economy cabin," he added.
