The government has asked to probe the properties and accounts of around one dozen employment of GDA and to conduct minute inquiry in misused of around Rs 50 crore.

According to the report, the government officials have handed over eight paged complaints to the vigilance department, in which the department officials have been directed to probe the construction of the road and drainage in Bodh Vihar and Siddharth Enclave residential colony of the GDA.
Sources said the officials not only changed the land used but doubled the estimated budget for construction of the roads. The task force, which conducted the probe of has raised these issues.
Sources said the state government has also ordered to conduct probe in utilisation of funds for construction of the new building of GDA at Ramgarh Tal in which extra payment were made to purchase the items and the estimated budget was enhanced to double without seeking permission from senior officials.
Beside it, the vigilance department would also probe the misused and diverting of funds in ongoing construction of GDA shopping complex at Golghar.
According to report, three floor shopping complex was proposed but due to vested interest GDA officials not only increased the numbers of floors but also allotted the construction work to the company not fulfilling the minimum eligibility to carry out the construction work.
The order to conduct vigilance inquiry has mounted pressure on GDA officials as around one dozen officials has already been suspended for their involvement in financial irregularities including former Vice-chairman Ram Sajeevan, executive engineer RS Diwaker, account officer UN Upadhyay and Vinod Srivastav.
Meanwhile, GDA VC Ravi Prakash Arora made surprise inspection of water supply in Siddharth Enclave and Vikas Nagar Extension colony and expressed his displeasure over the out of order tube wells in these colonies for last two month.
He directed for immediate repairing of the tube wells.
