Silk saris can also be inno-vatively converted into quilts and cushion covers. She adds, “Make sure that the sari has strength. Go for silks like Jamdani and Tanchoi, which are strong.

Also, use satin as the base for a rich effect.” For the trims on the cushion, she adds, “one can use fabrics that have sheen, such as velvets.”
