BJP leader Raghuvar Das, who was the deputy chief minister in the Soren government, met the Governor after he was summoned.
"The governor called me and I will speak to the media at 1:00 pm," Das told reporters after the meeting.
Party sources said that the governor asked Das about the prospects of government formation and had sought an hour's time.
Leader of the Opposition Rajendra Prasad Singh, belonging to the Congress, will meet the governor at 12.30 pm.
