THE STATE Government is making arrangements to provide coaching facility to Scheduled Caste students aspiring to appear for the PET, PMT, and PAT competitive exams. The facility will be provided to pass outs and students of standard XII.

For this, a monthly scholarship of Rs 375 will be given to the students availing hostel facilities. Besides, an expense of Rs 200 for stationeries and Rs 1,500 for books will be given to them separately.

An exclusive centre has been planned for girl students if their number exceeds 20. The Scheduled Caste Welfare and Development Commissioner Shikha Dubey said the selection of such students will be made on merit basis.

For this, aspiring students should have passed Class X and XI exams with 50 per cent marks. The criteria of selection will be same for students who have passed Class XII.

The students will be eligible to receive coaching for only two training sessions. The Scheduled Caste Welfare Department will provide travelling expenses to students coming from outside Bhopal, besides expenses for books and stationeries.
