Govt increases cash rewards on criminals

The STATE Government has increased cash rewards on the arrest of some hardcore criminals active in the eastern UP. Brijesh Singh tops the list with Rs 5 lakh.

The STATE Government has increased cash rewards on the arrest of some hardcore criminals active in the eastern UP. Brijesh Singh tops the list with Rs 5 lakh.

As per an official communique released from the office of Inspector General of Police (Varanasi Zone), the cash rewards have been increased on the arrest of 10 hardcore criminals whereas a recommendation has been forwarded to the State government to increase the cash reward on the arrest of Tribhuvan Singh, hailing from Ghazipur district, from Rs 2 lakhs to Rs. 5 lakhs.

The State government has increased the cash reward on arrest of Brijesh Singh, from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh whereas the cash reward on the arrest of Prem Prakash Singh alias Munna Bajrangi, a resident of Jaunpur district and main accused in the sensational murder of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai, has been enhanced from Rs one lakh to two lakh.

Besides, the cash prize on the arrest of Sunil alias Sanjay Kole, a resident of Chandauli, has been enhanced from Rs 20,000 to Rs 1 lakh.

The cash prize on the arrest of Kamlesh Chaudhary, a resident of Rohtas in Bihar, has been increased from Rs 20,000 to Rs 1 lakh whereas the cash reward on the arrest of Munna Vishwakarma, a resident of Sonebhadra district, has been enhanced from Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000.

The cash prize on the arrest of Lalvrat Kole and Munnu Pal alias Kaviji, both resident of Chandauli district, have been enhanced from Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000 and Rs 20,000, respectively.

Similarly, the reward on the arrest of Shanker alias Roshan, a resident of Bhabhua in Bihar, has been increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000.

The reward on the arrest of Ram Sajeevan, a resident of Sonebhadra district, has been increased from Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000 as also the cash reward on the arrest of Ramvriksha Kole, a resident of Chandauli district has been enhanced from Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000.
