Govt plans law on live feed sharing

Private broadcasters will be required to share live feed of key sporting events with DD, reports Pragya Singh.

The government is bringing in an ordinance making it obligatory on every content provider or telecast rights owner to show live telecast of sporting events of national importance without advertising content on all channels.

A committee is being set up to work out the technical feasibility of uplinking and downlinking encrypted signals over free to air.
