Gregory Strydom is a reliable player both as batsman and a bowler, who mixes medium pace with some off breaks. His major weakness is that he has limited footwork and that leaves him vulnerable to quick bowlers.

Strydom has been trying to work on singles and doubles, gained from running between the wickets, as opposed to his earlier technique of vying for boundaries.

Coach Kevin Curran is working to convert his aggressive style into a more positive attitude.
