Grenade attack at Sopore police staion; 2 cops injured

Militants lobbed a grenade at a police station in the north Kashmir town of Sopore on Saturday night, injuring two policemen. A police spokesperson said the attack took place at 8.45 pm.

A police spokesperson said the attack took place at 8.45 pm.

"Militants lobbed a grenade towards Tarzoo Amargadh police station in Sopore. Two Policemen were injured," the spokesperson said.

The injured have been shifted to a hospital for treatment and are said to be out of danger. The area where the attack took place has been cordoned off. No militant group has as of now claimed responsibility for the attack.
