“Government has been asked to clarify its position on lifting of the ban. Queries raised by Leader of the Opposition Jamuna Devi on the issue in memoranda to the Governor were forwarded to the General Administration Department,” they said.

The communication sent from Governor’s Secretariat has sought clarifications on Congress leader’s query that if RSS is a cultural organisation, as described by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, how its leaders held key positions in BJP.
The query from the Raj Bhavan also asked the government to clarify if Governor’s approval was necessary before amending rules for allowing government employees to take part in RSS activities, the sources said.

The clarifications sought by Jakhar on RSS are the latest after he called for details of religious conversions in the state, status reports on probe into Professor H S Sabharwal’s death in college poll violence in Ujjain and legal opinion on administrative reforms in state universities.
