There was a huge gathering of advocates and clerks at the reporting section of High Court and other offices, which wore a deserted during the vacation.
Similar was the situation at the High Court Bar Association office, where so many lawyers were seen, of course, some trying to get them registered as members of HCBA.

This notification mentioned that Bar Council of India Rules related to form of addressing the Judges of Supreme Court, High Courts and others courts in the country had been published in the Gazette of India dated May 6, 2006.
As per a resolution of Bar Council of India, the form of address to the Judges would be ‘Your Honour’ and ‘Hon’ble Court’ in the Supreme Court and High Courts and in the subordinate courts and Tribunals, it is open to the lawyers to address the court as ‘Sir’ or the equivalent word in respective regional languages.
The Bar Council of India had explained that “As the words ‘My Lord’ and ‘Your Lordship’ are relics of colonial past, it is proposed to incorporate the above rule showing respectful attitude to the Court.”
The rule has come into force from the May 6, 2006, the date of publication in the official gazette.
Since the Bar Council of India had resolved to circulate a copy of this resolution to all the State Bar Councils with a request to circulate it to all the Bar Associations of the State, a copy of it has now come to the HCBA.
Accordingly, it has been displayed on the HCBA notice board, which invited attention of too many lawyers on Monday.
