While Hisar was hotter by four degrees than normal, sweltering conditions also prevailed in Amritsar in Punjab, where

the maximum settled at 42 C, up three degrees, the Meteorological

Department said in Chandigarh.

Ludhiana and Patiala also braved a hot day registering respective maximums of 42.1 C and 42 C.

Karnal in Haryana was hotter by three degrees at 41 C while Ambala also experienced the hot weather at 41 C,than normal, sweltering conditions also prevailed in Amritsar in Punjab, where the maximum settled at 42 C, up three degrees, the
