Hrishitaa Bhatt: Aiming higher

Hrishitaa denies that her character in Jigyasa is based on Mallika Sherawat.

Speaking of the future, Hrishitaa Bhatt quotes Kathleen Norris: "None of us knows what the next change is going to be, what unexpected opportunity is just around the corner, waiting a few months or a few years to change all the tenor of our lives."

The change is visible in her forthcoming films. Who had expected to see her in Jigyasa, whose tagline reads Woman on top? "It’s the story of a smalltown girl who aspires to be a star. The tagline is deceptive." What about reports that her character is based on Mallika Sherawat? "It’s not based on anyone," she insists.
Hrishitaa also stars in this week’s release, Jawani Diwani, with Emraan Hashmi and Celina Jaitley. "It’s an entertainer. I wanted to be a part of this film."
