Seeking dismissal of the PIL filed by senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh for his removal, Chawla sought to differ with CEC BB Tandon who had said that any complaint against an Election Commissioner had to be sent to him by the President for recommendation under Article 324(5) of the Constitution.
