Congress candidate against Chief Minister Narendra Modi in Maninagar, Yatin Oza, on Sunday said that the

Hindutva

wave swept not only his constituency but the entire state to put BJP ahead of his party in the assembly elections in Gujarat.

Accepting defeat, he said in a democracy people's verdict has to be respected but added that apart from the Hindutva factor misuse of government machinery and money power were responsible for Modi and BJP's victory.
