We began filming last June and completed the film by September. The first rushes were shown with

. At the time, we were busy with post- production. The release date was finalised recently .

Isn't Star a jinxed title?

Super Star

is an apt title. You'll agree when you see the film. If we took the superstitious route, the title would've begun with ‘K'. (Smiles)

has caught on, the others will too. The promos have just come out. It's not being aggressively promoted. We are doing the best we can. The rest depends on the film and the audience.

You've had one release every six months. Is it deliberate?

Doing one film helps me focus. I have time on my side. I can take it easy. My next release, a comedy, will come around August.
