As the members of the elite service were feeling agitated over the State Government’s decision, the association is likely to weigh various options before taking a final decision on the issue. A considerable number of officers have even demanded that the association should convene an extra-ordinary AGM to discuss the issue.
Significantly, the State Government has issued orders to post two PCS officers as district magistrates despite a letter from the Union Additional Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training saying that posting of non-cadre officers on cadre posts was not in accordance with provisions of the All India Service Rules.
