A total of 1,88,857 identity cards had been prepared upto March this year in the state, Industries Minister Kishan Kapoor said while presiding over a review meeting of Labour and Employment here.

The minister said it had been made mandatory to provide 70 per cent employment to Himachalis in all industrial units and hydel power projects being set up in the state.
