Reviewing the progress of a month-long campaign against criminals in the zone at a meeting, organised in his office here on Tuesday, Meena gave necessary instructions to the officials concerned and reviewed the district-wise progress of the campaign launched as per the instruction issued by director general of police (DGP) Bua Singh.
The IG, during the meeting, focused on two major points: Action against wanted and rewarded criminals and others involved in land, grabbing, kidnapping, contract killing, extortion and long pending departmental investigation.
Besides on the second major point, he reviewed the current crime scenario in ten districts of the zone since the beginning of the campaign from April 20. He questioned the officials about the heinous crimes which in their areas and the action taken by them.
The IG directed the SPs to achieve the target as fixed by the administration and ensure satisfactory progress to check crime and criminals. No laxity would be tolerated, he added.
