This year the mega-carnival coincides with the first home-coming congregation of the Institute’s alumni.
A member of the organising team, Vaibhav Rastogi, said that in order to facilitate maximum participation, the alumni reunion festival would be organised for two days on October 27 - 28.
With the enthusiastic response having received from the illustrious alumni, the congregation promises to become an event of unmatched grandeur.
It is to be noted that this would be the first time that the alumni of IIIT-A together with the faculty, staff and students would join hands to make Effervescence MMVI a grand success.
Rastogi said prestigious sponsors like Reliance ADAG Communications, Keane, IPCL, Coke, and K-Lounge and many others had shown their keen interest in the festival.
With TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) being the main sponsor, the event is sure to get an electrifying start on 25th of this month. Effervescence, a cornucopia of creativity, innovation, unexplored technological talents and pure grandeur will thrill the city for five consecutive days.
IIITA’s annual fest draws huge crowd not only from Allahabad but also from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Information Technology-Amethi whose students participate in the fest with great enthusiasm and energy.
Besides this, invitations have been sent to all premier institutes of higher education in India. These institutions have shown keen interest in many events. The response of the online registration predicts strong participation from various IITs, IIITs and IIMs in both online and campus events. With the faculty, staff and students of IIIT-A pitching in, this festival is sure to become a mega-carnival.
Vaibhav said that the website for the fest is http://effervescence.iiita.ac.in which is updated regularly with necessary details for visitors and participants.
Another interesting facet of Effervescence-MMVI is the provision of live webcasting of on-campus events which would enable users around the world to watch the excitement of the on-campus events.
