But in what seems as a move to lure players into choosing club over country, the cash-rich WSH organisers on Monday announced an incentive scheme to "motivate its contracted players to 'Strive for Gold' at the 2012 London Olympics".

According to the announcement made on Monday, every WSH player will get Rs5 lakh if he makes it to the national squad for the Olympic qualifiers to be held at New Delhi from February 15-26, 2012.

The WSH will be held at eight centres across the country from December 17-January 22.

The offers don't end here. Rs50 lakh, Rs1 crore and Rs2 crore will be divided equally among the WSH players if they are part of the Indian team that wins bronze, silver or gold medal in London.

This scheme may or may not motivate the players to give their best for India, but it will definitely add to the pressure to opt for WSH.
