India hands over dossier on Saeed to Pakistan

India today handed to Pakistan a fresh dossier on Jamaat-ud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed, accused by it of being the mastermind behind the Mumbai terror attack. According to sources, the dossier was handed over during a meeting of Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and Pakistani High Commissioner Shahid Malik.

India on Friday handed to Pakistan a fresh dossier on Jamaat-ud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed, accused by it of being the mastermind behind the Mumbai terror attack.

According to sources, the dossier was handed over during a meeting of Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and Pakistani High Commissioner Shahid Malik. The meeting had been convened at the request of the Pakistani envoy.

The new information pertains specifically to Saeed. Pakistan had earlier alleged that it had not got enough information from India to prosecute Saeed.
