The Indore district Congress leaders on Tuesday mocked the BJP over the divide in saffron party following the appointment of Narendra Modi as the party’s campaigning committee chief.

Congressmen of the city put up a poster at Rajawada with a slogan ‘Bade Be Aaabaru Ho Kar Tere Kuche Se Hum Nikle’ with photograph of LK Advani on one side and Narendra Modi on other side. The poster depicted a divided lotus (symbol of BJP) with a slogan ‘Advani ka Sapna’.

The poster showed Advani in tears while on the other hand Modi was shown as having the ‘last laugh’.And it has names of three Congressmen written on it.

When the matter came to the notice of the BJP workers, a showdown became imminent. However, timely action by the Indore Municipal Corporation, which removed the poster, saved the situation from taking an unsavoury turn.

“The Congress has indulged in a very low level of politics. We could have reacted to this but we did not want to escalate the matter. But this doesn’t mean that BJP workers won’t react if Congressmen indulge in these types of activities in future,” said BJP city president Shankar Lalwani.
