Informal Education Assn meets Minister

A DELEGATION of the Shasakiya Aupcharikettar Shiksha Sangh, representing supervisors and instructors of the Informal Education System, today met the Parliamentary Affairs and School Education Minister Dr Narottam Mishra.

The delegation comprising Dr Rameshwar Mishra and Mahendra Sharma of the Class III Employees Association and Dr Ramesh Dwivedi of the Aupcharikettar Shiksha Sangh held discussions with the minister. While lauding the steps taken by him for improving the quality of education in the State, the delegation put forth before him various problems and demands of the Informal Education System employees.

The problems are regarding alternative employment opportunities for the employees, situation regarding contract teachers following the Supreme Court ruling, appointment on compassionate grounds among others.

A press release by the Association said that the minister heard them with all seriousness and said that steps would be taken to solve the problem.

He also mentioned that the appointment of the supervisors and instructors as Gurujis in the Shiksha Guarantee School has been recommended by the Chief Minister and the matter is now with the finance department.

Others in the delegation included Amrit Babisa, Tejbahadur Singh, R S Verma, Shailesh Nigam and A S Parmar.
